Huntertown IN, 46748</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications<br /> · Minimum age 18 with high school diploma or equivalent<br /> · Reliable transportation<br /> · Excellent role model for children<br /> · Good character, integrity, and adaptability<br /> · Sense of humor, patience, and self-control<br /> · Desire, commitment, and ability to work with young people<br /> · Enthusiasm for the outdoors and the commitment to conserving our natural resources<br /> · Positive attitude and outlook<br /> · Concern for safety and well-being of others<br /> · Leadership and supervision skills<br /> · Ability to seek and accept supervision and guidance<br /> · Able to treat all campers and staff fairly<br /> · Accepting of diversity in religions, ethnicity, culture, and race<br /> · Ability to communicate and work with children ages 6-15 and provide necessary instruction<br /> · Neat and professional appearance<br /> · Punctual with good communication skills (reading, writing, speaking)<br /> · Be able to lift 20 pounds or more<br /> · Be able to hike uneven terrain for 1- 3 miles a day<br /> · Preferred but not required: Currently certified in <span class="caps">CPR</span> and First Aid<br /> · Preferred but not required: Experience with day camp programs, working with children, leadership experience in school and community, background or interest in natural history, ecology and/or environmental education</p> <p>Camp Counselor Responsibilities</p> * One week position plus planning meetings * Assist with development of nature programming <p>· Successfully implement nature programming, working directly with a group of children on a daily basis.<br /> · Assist with site management-cleaning up indoor and outdoor areas before and after program, trail clearing<br /> · Assist Co-Directors and Food Manager with other duties as assigned<br /> · Attend CPR/First Aid Training, if not already certified<br /> · Attend meetings beginning April 15th, may become more frequent as camp approaches<br /> · Responsible use of two-way radio<br /> · Working cooperatively with the <span class="caps">IWLA</span> Board of Directors and Camp Committee<br /> · Direct volunteers<br /> · Wear name tag at all times<br /> · Submit to a background check</p> <p>Compensation</p> <p>· $225 and lots of excellent experience!</p> We will begin interviewing on April 1st. <p>Please email your resumes or mail to Camp Director, 17100 Griffin Road, Huntertown, IN 46748.
