Help wanted. Riverby Books, a used bookstore on Capitol Hill, needs both full time and part time help. Individual will be responsible for the operation of the store between the hours of 10 AM and 6 PM up to five days a week (the store is open all seven) - sales, customer service, general upkeep, posting descriptions of inventory on the internet, and filling mail orders. Additionally, responsibilities may grow to include the purchasing of used book and management of store inventory. Must be a self starter, must be computer and internet literate, highly organized, and good with people. Retail and/or customer service experience strongly desired, and a love of books a must.
Riverby Books has an inventory of over 25,000 titles and specializes in books on Washington and quality non-fiction works. The store is located just blocks from the United States Capitol and easily within walking distance from the Capitol South, Eastern Market and Union Station Metro stops.
