Visual/Technical PowerPoint Designer
Name:
The National Christian Foundation
URL: http://www.nationalchristian.com
Location: Alpharetta, Georgia
The National Christian Foundation (www.nationalchristian.com) is looking for a PowerPoint Expert that is also a good visual graphic designer to assist us on a part-time paid basis (internships are a possibility too). We are looking for someone that can help in two areas:
1. Make average-to-poor PowerPoints look like beautiful masterpieces, by creating new graphics and rearranging text and page elements. Also, we need to simplify presentations with more white space, less text, and less complexity.
2. Connect Excel to Powerpoint. We want to give our attorneys the flexibility of inputting data into Excel and connecting that to Powerpoint, so that beautiful graphs, charts, etc. automatically update and reshape in Powerpoint (just as you can make a good-looking, adjustable bar graph in Apple Pages that's flexible.)
For example, here's a PowerPoint we're currently using (http://www.nationalchristian.com/images/GenU/Misc/NCF_Gift_Planning/player.html). There is still too much text on most slides, the graphics are fair but not great, and the fonts aren't great (Times, etc.). And we need to figure out a way to simplify complex slides like #14.
Here's an example of how a designer made something completely clean and stylish based on modern "Apple-esqe" design elements: http://www.strategyofgiving.com/Download_files/SoG.pdf. Notice how stylish the charts and illustrations are, and how overall simply they remain. This is what we want, plus the integration with Excel.
We're open to flexible, hourly paid work, or paid contracts. Internships are OK too. This could turn into a long-term ongoing retainer relationship.
Please send art samples, a resume, and a written email/letter describing your qualifications.
Thanks,
Steve Chapman
