Do you have great enthusiasm, energy, and love working with children ages 3-12? If you answered YES, then Hill House is the right summer camp for you!
Located in Beacon Hill, right in the heart of downtown Boston, Hill House is an independent community center, specializing in year-round programs and summer camps. Our renovated Firehouse offices were once home to the MTV show, ‘Real World Boston’!
All staff must be high school graduates, with solid experience working with children and a strong commitment to creating a safe and exciting summer camp experience.

Qualifications:
- Strong desire and proven ability to work with children in a camp setting
- Ability to lead activities and supervise groups of 4-6 campers in your group
- Ability to relate to campers and other staff as part of a team
- Strong character including but not limited to a sense of humor, enthusiasm, maturity and patience
- Possess unique skills or talents that will bring originality and excitement to the camp
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that campers are safe at all times
- Supervise campers in your group during all aspects of the day
- Assist in teaching or leading activities, as assigned by your camp director
- Maintain active participation with campers at all times
- Identify and met campers individual needs; seek assistance when necessary
- Set a good example for campers by maintaining a good attitude; remember, you are a role model!
- Maintain positive and open relationships with campers, the staff team, and parents
- Promote a healthy, safe, supportive and exciting camp environment
Summer Dates:
June 22nd-August 28th, 2009*
*Limited camp week: August 31st-September 3rd
Staff Training:
All hired summer staff must be available for paid training June 15th-June 19th, 2009. Hours are approximately 9-5pm.
Salary:
Commensurate with experience; starting at $350 per week.
