The YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking responsible and enthusiastic Camp Counselors for Summer 2009. The YMCA offers great day camps throughout Boston and its suburbs. The camps have diverse offerings and are always looking for talented people who bring a passion for teaching, coaching, caring for and mentoring children from all backgrounds and communities.

YMCA Camp Locations:
-Charles River YMCA (Needham, MA)
-Waltham YMCA
-Burbank YMCA (Reading, MA)
-North Suburban YMCA (Woburn, MA)
-Wang YMCA (Chinatown, Boston, MA)
-East Boston YMCA
-Dorchester YMCA
-Hyde Park YMCA
-Roxbury YMCA
-Huntington Ave. YMCA (Boston, MA)

Minimum Requirements:
1. At least 3 positive professional or educational references
2. Maturity and a commitment to the safety of children
3. The ability and willingness to work the entire camp season
4. Be over the age of 18 (some camps have limited positions for persons age 16 or over)
5. Enthusiasm!

Special skills sought include:

• Experience working with children in an educational or youth services setting
• Youth coaching experience
• Specialty knowledge in dance, theater, crafts, photography, etc.
• Archery, rope course or rock climbing experience
• A 7D drivers license for driving a passenger van

• Swim instruction and/or lifeguarding experience (we also hire summer life guards)
