Ice Cream Shop Manager and Scoopers

We are a small growing business with two locations, Saugus and North Reading. We’ve been in business for 20 years and have won many awards for our home made frozen desserts.
We are seeking a full time manager (with food business experience) to assist in managing both locations. The idea candidate will have a valid driver’s license and a dependable vehicle. Candidate must be Serve Safe Certified, friendly, pleasant, and good at interacting with customers as well as employees. You must enjoy working with young adults; you will be managing 40 part time college/high school employees. We have an excellent crew and most have been with us for several years.
Some Responsibilities: (Subject to change)
Serving Ice Cream when needed (usually a few hours per day in the spring and fall)
Scheduling employees (and posting on website)
Calculating Employee hours
Food loss prevention and portion control
Ensure proper sanitation, hygiene and food handling procedures
Maintaining a clean work place for all visitors and employees
Daily Cash reconciliations for one or both locations
Opening and or closing of both locations
Food ordering and preparation
Cake decorating (a plus)
The list goes on
We offer a fun, casual environment, but we do have high standards. You will be in close communication with the owner (me). I’ll be working full time and going to school full time at night and need someone who is honest, hard working and dependable to help manage the business.
Schedule:
Will most likely be, but is subject to change: Monday thru Friday 11:45am-10:15pm Monday thru Friday. From Memorial Day to Labor Day 11:45am-11:15pm; Holidays a must. Because we have a great staff there is room for scheduling flexibility.
Compensation:
$600-$700 per week (plus tips when working up front), there is room to grow for the right person and bonuses will be given for exceptional performance.
